As no proffesional car dealer I completely panicked because I was scammed by Daniel Schmitt Classic Cars. The only way I thought to threaten was bad feedback. In response, I received the following email.

We insist you immediately stop your unjust and unwarranted negative campaign against us at once. Already, you have caused harm and significant damage to our business and otherwise outstanding reputation. As someone who owns and operates an online business, you are certainly aware that you yourself are vulnerable to someone intent on raising doubt about the trustworthiness of your business, even if that doubt created is unwarranted as you have done to us. We have retained an IT firm who assures us you have much greater exposure, and risk tremendous loss if a similar campaign were undertaken against your various business interests. Until just recently, this had been an unthinkable option, yet now this firm stands at the ready and is awaiting word regarding your decision to stop your smear campaign against us.

We would also remind you that we have an electronic record indicating your intention to be less than forthright with customs authorities regarding the true amount you paid for your vehicle. It would be an unfortunate, but now very possible scenario in which we would turn over this information to the Netherlands Ministry of Finance, so the matter of your potential tax evasion might be fully investigated.

Again, it has always been our hope to bring about an agreeable conclusion to this matter. Regrettably, it has been your choice to pursue a path of unreasonableness even as a perfectly reasonable solution lay before you. Unless you immediately abandon your negative campaign against our company, we will have no other course of action but to meet your aggression toward us with equal or greater combativeness in return.
